In this increasingly competitive age, every parent wants their child to be accomplished, educated and successful in his/ her adult years. But can this dream be turned into reality?  

Yes, indeed! The key is recognizing the importance of parental involvement in children's lives. The best gift parents can give to their children is good education.  Education today plays a pivotal role in all aspects of human development.  

Realizing the necessity of good education today, it is every parent’s dream that their child academically attains peak performance. So, what are the X factors that clearly indicate parental influence?  

Here are factors that emphasize the importance of parental involvement in children's lives:

~ Parents have the power  

Parents have a tremendous power of impacting their children’s lives. Throughout the ages it has been found that parental influence can leave a significant imprint on the mind and hearts of individuals.  

It is the parents, who are the best persons to understand their child’s potential and needs; parents who actively help their children to set academic goals and steer them in the right direction of academia, are always successful.  

~ Parents have the understanding  

Parents understand the importance of active involvement—- being there for their child, ensuring proper nutrition, rest and sleep and providing myriad avenues for successful learning experiences. From their own personal and life experiences, parents are well aware that it is by providing good education, they can enable children to use their mental faculties to the fullest extent.  

Parents fully understand that education will not only help their child to get a good job, but more importantly, give him/ her competitive edge over others. They believe that higher academic accomplishments can enhance the prestige, status and quality of their child’s adult life.  

~ Parents have the knowledge  

Parents have the knowledge that today in times of instability, it is primarily education that will  stand in good stead and serve as the greatest security reserve for their child’s future.  

This distinct understanding is vital- - - by offering good education and involving actively in their child’s learning process, they can equip their child with a balanced reserve of ability and expertise to ensure their child’s future successes.
